Poem
A True Olympian
I’ve reached my potential and space is tight
And something tells me that tonight is the night.
All of a sudden I feel pull and a push
A squeeze and a squash and a watery rush.
My training prepared me for what I should do
So I follow the darkness until I get through.
Then all of a sudden the light hits my eyes
And I learn, for my efforts, that Life is the prize.
