Faking It

· Christmas, Health, Misc, Wedding

A rap to remind us all that such descriptions as ‘Hand-made’, ‘Home-made’,’Natural’ are all in the eye of the beholder.

Did I make it?
No, I bought it.
I will confess it
Here and now.
That scarf I knit?
No, sorry – bought it.
That quilt I stitched?
No, sorry – sourced it.
My pouting lip?
Nope! Filler in it.
These breast uplifts?
Nope! Faking it.
My dancing splits?
Nope! These new hips
Have metal tips.
Confessions fixed,
No more fake tricks –
But I must submit
To a few more pricks
Of that Botox Mix
Right here and now.
