My Dedicated Team

· Celebrations

Everyone needs a Paul or James to help them sort out computer problems.

‘I’ve got a dreaded worm,’ I wailed
‘It’s stopped my circuits working.
It’s leaving sneaky slimy trails.
I don’t know where it’s lurking.’

I’m on the phone and plead with James
To help me kill the beast.
He says he’ll try, but makes no claims.
‘Come back when it’s deceased.’

James worked quite hard (and swore a lot)
And culled the dreaded worm.
He felt that he had stopped the rot;
The worm should not return.

I’m ready now to go online
With my poetic words.
Paul tells me it will all be fine,
He’d leave it to the nerds.

As time rolled on so did the nerds;
My poems gathered dust.
No audience would see those words
But Paul still had my trust.

He worked so hard from dusk to dawn
To set the whole thing up.
So tired, he stifled every yawn,
Once done, he wished me luck.

They are my heroes, thank you boys.
Their efforts are the potion
That brings to you life’s woes and joys
In poetry and emotion.
