Talyllyn’s Best Girl

· Misc

If you ever visit Twywyn Wharf Station, look out for this lady.

Our Dot is no sluggard, she carries her weight,
She can move nice and smooth with a brick filled crate.
She might puff a bit as she reaches a hill,
But whatever her load she can carry it still.

You just ask her to fetch and to carry some bricks,
She’s the first one to show you a set of new tricks.
Her strong metal buffers gleam bright in the sun
As she backs down the track to meet the wagon.

With a clink and a clunk she has hitched up her ride,
Her black and red outfit she carries with pride.
Her boiler is hot and her steam’s shooting out
As she patiently waits for the guardsman to shout:

‘All clear at this end!’
