Words Are All We Have Right Now

This is dedicated to all those who have lost loved ones.  The pain is real, the loss persists and life is never the same without them.

When eyes with tears of loss are glazed and blurred,
When suddenly a life has come and gone,
Find hope that strength and courage yet will come,
To shine a golden light through veils of tears.

When on that journey through life’s battle plains,
Feel then, when grief allows you one short pace,
Your heart warm to the memory of their face;
That briefest moment when grief’s veil is lifted.

This is the hope that, at some future time,
Those steps, where memories will stab the heart,
Grow less in hurt and grief as on you march
Towards some understanding of your loss.
